Fukuoka is connected to travel by air through its two airports: Fukuoka Airport and Kitakyushu Airport.

Fukuoka Airport is located 10 minutes from Hakata Station by Fukuoka City Subway, or direct bus from Hakata Bus Terminal to the international terminal (20 minutes). A free shuttle bus is available between the domestic and international terminals.

Kitakyushu Airport is accessible via bus from Kokura (35-50 minutes).

Fukuoka and Kitakyushu Airports are both serviced by airline companies such as ANA and JAL, but also cater towards those looking to travel on a smaller budget. Airlines such as Peach Aviation, Jetstar Japan, Skymark Airlines, Vanilla Air, and Spring Airlines Japan have regularly scheduled flights.

If you’re looking to travel domestically by JAL or ANA and also need a hotel, you could save money by booking a pack deal. Check out JALパック and ANAパック for big savings.

Both airports allow easy domestic and international travel, with international destinations such as Seoul, Hong Kong, Manila, Taipei, and Guam.
