Summer is finally here and we’re very excited to welcome the arrival of our new Fukuoka JET members! AJET has arranged a Welcome Dinner in Tenjin which will take place after the Orientation.
Let’s start the working year in true Summer style in the city. This is the perfect opportunity for current and incoming JETs to get to know each other!
The dinner will be held at a rooftop all you can eat and drink (tabehōdai & nomihōdai) barbecue, open only for the summer season. The menu includes a buffet style selection of BBQ meats, Japanese fried chicken, dumplings, noodles, salad and more. The drink selection has over 50 kinds to choose from including beer, wine, sake, cocktails and soft drinks.
Vegetarian, vegan and JETs with allergies are welcome to bring their own food in to the venue. (The same entry fee is still required)

For new JETs: Sign up and payments will be taken at the Fukuoka Orientaiton on Friday 9th August. Visit the Welcome Dinner table in the morning or at lunchtime.
For continuing JETs: You can pay at the door on the day, or purchase your ticket in advance at the venue for the discount. Please check out the Facebook event page to let us know if you will be attending.
Access:
- Take exit 10 from Tenjin underground Solaria Stage. Enter the building named “西日本新聞会館” (nishi nippon shinbun kaikan).
- Take the elevator to 16F. Walk up the stairs to the rooftop Sky Terrace.

FAJET will be holding a 50-50 raffle at the event to raise money for the FAJET Scholarship Fund! At 200 yen per ticket, half the total will go towards the Fund and the other half will be given to one lucky winner. Bring your coins for a chance to win!
